Battery thermal models commonly need specific heat, thermal conductivity and interfacial resistance, but the required detail depends on the model objective.
Start with sensitivity
Determine which output decision matters—peak temperature, temperature gradient, heat spreading or trigger timing—and identify the properties most likely to change it.
Measure the real condition
Temperature, compression, orientation and aging can change thermal properties. Record the measurement conditions with the values.
Validate the model
A physical measurement should be selected to test model assumptions, not only to populate a table.
